You will need to delete that extra partition on your primary drive, shift the over recovery partition around (because it will be wedged between them), and expand the C: partition. Since this post tries to address multiple problems, this going to be a little long post. Just be advised that if you have a second storage drive, and choose the option to restore ONLY to the C: drive (meaning that you don't want the stuff on the extra drive wiped), then the image will install a separate partition as part of your primary drive. Might have worked!īut anyway, worst came to worst, I used BurnRecovery to make a bootable USB of the MSI factory image, and reset the OEM image. I had to actually sift through the settings in the Killer networking console, and disable them to see which was causing the problem. It was a Killer wifi driver preventing hibernate, and eventually BSOD when attempted. Next, you have to copy the BIOS update file to a USB flash drive. I in fact just did a complete factory reset on my MSI last weekend.
You can always do a clean install of Windows 10, as long as you get the appropriate drivers yourself.
